Ep 18: Is Your Social Media Bio Costing You Clients? Try This ChatGPT Shortcut

Ep 18: Is Your Social Media Bio Costing You Clients? Try This ChatGPT Shortcut

Your social media bio might seem like the tiniest detail in your business, but here’s the truth: it can make or break whether someone sticks around long enough to become a client. Think of your bio as a handshake before the conversation — it tells people who you are, what you do, and why they should care in just a few words. If your bio is vague, stiff, or doesn’t sound like you, you could be losing potential clients without even realizing it.

In this blog, I’m sharing how to stop treating your bio like an afterthought and start using it as a connection point. You’ll hear my own story of how rewriting my bio finally made me feel aligned — and attracted women who instantly connected with my message. Plus, I’ll walk you through a simple ChatGPT shortcut you can use today to create a bio that’s warm, human, and totally you.

Why Your Bio Matters More Than You Think
Your bio is often the very first thing a potential client reads about you. Before they scroll your posts, before they binge your content, they glance at your bio to decide if they should stick around. A generic bio may sound inspiring, but if it could apply to just about anyone, it won’t create a spark. That first impression matters — and it’s worth making it count.

A lot of coaches default to broad, one-size-fits-all statements like “helping women live their best life” or “helping people reach their goals.” While positive, these phrases don’t actually communicate who you serve, how you serve them, or why they should work with you. When your bio lacks clarity, people skim past it and move on. That’s why you want a bio that not only inspires but also communicates your unique approach and personality.

When I first started coaching, my bio said, “Helping women make money doing what they love.” It sounded nice, but it didn’t sound like me. It was generic and didn’t reflect how I actually worked with women. Once I rewrote my bio in a way that matched my natural voice — warm, approachable, and specific — I immediately noticed a difference. Within a week, women were messaging me saying, “I feel like you’re talking directly to me.” That’s the power of alignment.

How ChatGPT Makes It Simple
Here’s the shortcut: you don’t have to sit there staring at a blank screen. Open ChatGPT and type in a simple prompt: “Can you help me write a short, clear bio for my Instagram page? I’m a [type of coach] who helps [your audience] with [their transformation]. I want it to sound [tone you prefer, like warm, confident, natural].” ChatGPT will give you a few versions you can tweak until one feels like you. The magic is in choosing the one that sounds most like how you’d actually introduce yourself.

Once you have a bio that feels aligned, update it everywhere — Instagram, Facebook, your website, even your welcome posts. And here’s a pro tip: read your new bio out loud. You’ll instantly know if it feels natural or forced. That small shift can make a big difference because now your bio is doing the work for you, attracting the right people and giving them a reason to stick around. And if you want more shortcuts like this, inside the AI Client Attraction Club you’ll find simple prompts, trainings, and support to make content creation easier, lighter, and way more effective.

Ep 15: What is AI? How Coaches Can Use It to Save Time & Attract Clients

Ep 15: What is AI? How Coaches Can Use It to Save Time & Attract Clients
What is AI and how can coaches use it to save time and attract clients? I know, just hearing “AI” can sound intimidating. I’ll be honest—I used to feel the same way. When I first heard about it, I thought, nope, not for me. I was convinced it would make me sound robotic or take the heart out of my business. But then I actually gave it a chance, and wow, my whole perspective changed.
The truth is, AI isn’t this big scary thing only tech people understand. It’s simply technology designed to think, learn, and create—kind of like a super-smart helper that works really fast. Think about how you might ask Alexa for the weather or to play your favorite song. Tools like ChatGPT work the same way, only instead of giving you the forecast, they can help you brainstorm social media posts, draft emails, or come up with client-attracting ideas.

And here’s the key: AI doesn’t replace you. You are still the heart and soul of your business. AI just helps you work smarter so you can spend more time on what really matters—coaching and connecting with people. For example, if you’ve ever sat staring at a blank screen trying to write a post, AI can break that stuck feeling in seconds. Type in your ideas or the goal of your post, and it gives you something to start with. You can tweak it, add your voice, and make it your own.

I use AI almost daily now. Sometimes I’ll ask it for five prompts every coach needs to have in their toolkit, or I’ll have it act like my dream client who’s struggling with marketing and tell me what she might be Googling at 2 a.m. when she’s stressed. The answers spark ideas I might never have thought of, and that’s what saves me time. It doesn’t mean I copy and paste. I always refine what it gives me, but it’s like having a brainstorming partner on call 24/7.
Now, I won’t sugarcoat it—AI isn’t perfect. Sometimes it gives vague answers, and I have to say, “No, break that down more.” But that’s okay, because once you get the hang of it, it feels natural. And you don’t have to learn everything at once. Start with one tool—I recommend ChatGPT—and just play with it. You don’t even have to pay for the upgrade if you don’t want to. The free version works beautifully for most coaching tasks.

So why should coaches care about AI? Because it’s changing the way business is done, and those of us who learn how to use it wisely stand out. It helps us create content faster, reach more people, and still keep our unique voice. Some coaches are even starting to use AI tools inside their programs, which I think is so smart. Imagine giving your clients extra prompts or resources created with the help of AI—it makes your coaching even more valuable.
The bottom line is this—you don’t have to be tech savvy or perfect to use AI in your business. You just have to be willing to try. Stay true to your voice, let AI do some of the heavy lifting, and keep showing up for your clients. The more you lean into it, the more you’ll see how it helps you grow without burning out.
